How are they gonna deal with the physical disk? will i be unable to play my current games because they aren't on gamepass or will it be a Rent-a-consol with access to gamepass and other things? If its the latter I'm all for it because it will save me soooooooo much money, if its only gamepass games to can play on the consoles I'm going to be really dissapointed
@xwing1210 You should be fine with your physical disks and/or digital copies of games. According to the rumors, you'll be paying the monthly fee to get access to gold and gamepass, not tied exclusively to it.
I am 21 years old making a low income at my job and I can for sure say that if this does end being like you say it is I am totally up for this idea and will pick up a Xbox for this
It is a neat idea but the kicker for me that they pointed out is what happens when the next generation of Xbox hardware comes out? Two years doesn't seem like it's worth the investment if this program isn't going to apply to the new hardware.
I would love this. I am a P.C. guy and honestly haven't had a console in over a decade. But this will actually get me interested in consoles again. also waiting on Soul Calibur to release...
Back in the day sega and cable companies had a thing they tried called sega channel, the cable companies rented out the genesis to you and you had a device that you put into it and fed cable line through and you would boot up and have access to several categories of games that month. The idea died, but it was something.
...aaand then the server crashes/gets hacked. To ALL new gamers,.. if you haven't set aside a stand-alone library of games,.. please do now. When all the game companies go to web-memberships, and that's all you have,.. you will have nothing to play until your servers boot up again. F()c% the DPS,.. play tangible media!
