I honestly don't mind Premium. During the BF3 days, me and my friend finally bought it, and it completely renewed our interest in the game. It may be a little pricey, but DICE always supplies big map pack for their Battlefield games, and it's cheaper to buy premium than buy all the expansions separately. I also enjoyed the monthly battle packs and the other stuff it gives you. So to me, it's worth it.
*runs away before premium haters crucify me*
Big map packs, new weapons, camos, gadgets, vehicles, gamemodes, challenges, and achievements.
DICE puts more effort and content into their paid DLCs than some companies do with free updates. I've seen more content released in one DLC for BF4 or Hardline than I have for some free to play games. Hell, they've been doing this model for quite a while and it has repeatedly proven to be successful for them. The price has always been the same, and is even the same as other season passes out there.
Not to mention, they have a history of NOT doing Day 1 DLC (Back to Karkland and China Rising in BF3 and BF4 was only advertised as being early for Premium players, but not "at launch" early, Hardline is excluded in this point as it was a Viceral game, not DICE).
They forgot to mention that Bethesda announced it would keep the season pass for Fallout 4 at $30 for a while before they would up the price. Since I bought the pass before they increased the price, I believe I've gotten much more than I've paid for
I dont get what the big deal is you dont need to buy it but if you know you are goin to get the dlcs its actually cheaper to get premium and its not like you need to buy it now. Hell you could buy it after every dlc comes out. also why did every gamer become such a cheap bitch when some games started doing free expansions? but im not even sure its about money because some of the same group of people who bitch about paid for dlc buy 10-50 bucks worth of skins. Why complain about paying for real content but then shell out money for something that literay does nothing.
i forgot about the division lol
lol i dident, it was taking up hdd space so i got rid of it last week
im just going to wait a month after battlefield 1 comes out, just to see if its even worth it. if my friends list still mostly plays it, then ill consider buying, but if no one is playing it, then that would tell me its not worth anything.
Glad I'm not going to buy Battlefield 1 when it comes out.
Wonder how much EA will deliver on.
"Give us your money and we'll give you...somethin' "
Battlefield has been doing this since I got into the series (BF3). Over the 3 games that I've played, the Premium is well worth it. They constantly give the buyer/player something new.
I would argue the season pass for Fallout 4 was eventually worth the original asking price, but wasn't worth the hiked price.
The problem is, people keep falling for it! It's the same with pre-orders: given the trend of companies failing to live up to promised standards (Aliens: Colonial Marines, Watch Dogs, Destiny, Battlefield 3, Battlefield: Hardline, Battlefront,The Division, Arkham Knight, every Assassin's Creed that isn't 2 or Black Flag, etc., etc.) it's a wonder consumers are still stupid enough to pre-order anything, let alone blindly purchase a season pass. But as long as they do, publishers (because, let's face it, it's primarily down to them and not the developers (unless they're one and the same)) will continue the practice, and continue to be increasingly brazen about selling an incomplete game at full price, then charging us extra for the rest.
I'm getting sick and tired of the current state of game development. Most games I buy these days have a day one patch and are still noticeably broken and now season passes are pretty much mandatory to get the full game. AND they're starting to charge more for them!!! I already stopped pre-ordering games but I guess the next logical step is to start boycotting games.
I don't buy EA games.

Actually this news has stopped my purchase of the game entirely. I have Battle field 4 and without DLC it is basically unplayable because all servers have at least 1 dlc on. I can play now because some are free now, but it's years after release.
Eevry DLC has been released as free (at some point) for BF4. so honestly you could have downloaded all of them by now.
Bennetas I know they have all been free at some point, but it doesn't mean that it's ok the game is unplayable without them.
You do realize that there are official servers that are just the vanilla game? It's public made servers that tend to have at least one DLC attached. Even if you are having trouble, just use the sever browser. And even then, chances are some of the required DLC could just be the Community Ops, Legacy Ops, or Night Ops packs, ALL OF WHICH ARE FREE! (Blue Circle with compass for Community, Red 2 for Legacy, and Green Moon for Night).
The game is not playable. You're just not making that much of an effort. The server browser has been in since Day 1 of the game's release, on all platforms. And DICE always makes it a habit of sectioning off servers for just the vanilla game in case players don't have the DLC. And even community sever owners know that they need to do vanilla only servers sometimes if they want as many players as possible.
they glitched and removed my battlefield 4 and wanted me to pay for it again, but i still own the season pass, i should see if i could transfer it to you lol
