Two weeks ago, you had a different article about someone talking about games being too cheap. These two stories are correlated: when supply increases, demand drops and the price you can charge similarly drops. That the reviews have gone up is because we now have more ability to see what we're getting into before we pay for it.

This isn't really a new thing in entertainment. They compared it to television in the video, but in 2014 the British Film Institute made the statement that too many movies were being released each year too.

I already knew there were too many games being released. I just watch AHWU and listen the the hundreds of bullshit titles Geoff lists off that are being released that week

It feels like the video game industry is going through puberty all over again.
