Too late, I already moved to PC when the current gen consoles were announced.

Sony is stupid. Analysts are stupid. All corporate claims are stupid. but most importantly,
Consumers are the dumbest. and thats the real problem to everything wrong with the industry

until play station starts embracing mouse and keyboard and the better control provided console has no chance.

Does this mean we will finally get some good PC ports or skip the ports and make games for us only time will tell.

Ironic they say they want to compete with pc, but won't allow mods on Skyrim remastered or Fallout 4.

I kinda prefer how Microsoft is doing it over Sony. Microsoft is actually willing to release their products on PC while Sony will only stream their stuff to your PC. I don't completely trust microsft to do it correctly BUT I feel like Microsft has the better chance of winning over PC gamers to play their first party games over sony. Plus Microsoft isn't trying to beat anyone.They seem happy enough to just try and create a gaming eco system on PC. Sony seems like they wont be happy until everything that plays a game also has sony attached to it. Considering how large Steam is on its own without taking into account Blizzard, Riot, and several other devs on PC. Sony really has an uphill fight.

Long story short, no the PS4 does not compete with PCs in any way, except cost, which is not by much for a low end PC.
Not saying better consoles are a bad thing, just saying that IMO all consoles do atm is basically rob consumers into paying for a lower and limited experience to a PC, for a simpler and cheaper initial investment, but an end game lower experience.
I owned a 360 it's entire lifecycle and loved it, then I built my $2000 PC at the time (Thankfully I had a good job and low overhead so i could splurge more than normal) and did not have to upgrade anything until just this year, and then it was only $200 more, and I will never go back to console, as much as I loved them. I bought both the XBONE and PS4 at one point, and sold them within 3 months, there is no comparing them to a good PC.
