Honestly, I completely expected EA to keep making Battlefront games. Gotta rake in that Disney money.

It's odd to hear "I'm Jon Risinger" without it being followed by "Welcome to On the Spot. DUN DUN DEEEDAAAAAAAAAAA DUN DUNUN DUNUN!"

I'd like to see all three eras of course, but I think they missed an opportunity in giving us prequel, sequel, and space battle DLCs in this release. But it's EA, so I don't know why I would expect a full-ish game

It would have been better if they included space battles, a campaign, and pretty much all the things from Star Wars Battlefront II that people liked. It's pretty bad when a game from the original Xbox generation has more replay value then this new one.

I am certain battlefront 2 will not have any prequel stuff as Disney seems to want to forget the prequels (outside of Clone wars and rebels) even more then fans.

You say that but one, Clone wars is just prequel era and most of what was shown in the movies was shown in the show at some point. two, people may not like the story or the acting for the prequels but the worlds and aliens are still so cool.

You missed the point, I like Star Wars the Clone Wars and would love to play as Maul; but I seriously doubt Disney will give DICE permission to use any of the prequel material. You may not know but Disney originally wanted to scrap Star Wars the Clone wars from the canon, but George Lucas stepped in and protected it. That is how much Disney is afraid of any potential bad will from the prequels; its a business choice on there part.

Or I'm just reading into it too much and they just haven't done anything with the prequels yet, we'll see. Here's hoping for Darth Maul.

seriously!? Am I the only one about to kill EA for using the EXACT same name for two games. There's the old one for PS2 and the one that is coming out soon. VAD I HELVETE!?!

Yeah but then corporates (which EA most certainly is) have no idea how to name anything - Indie programmers for the win! ;) - you just have to listen to AHWU to know the truth of this statement! :D
