Some people are working on a better, safer, and longer lasting battery that will charge in minutes as opposed to hours, discharge slower (ie provide power longer), and it won't explode if punctured. Pretty sure if you cast a mobile to a TV that a console displays on, its "power" falls on its arse. Easy to claim it'll be more powerful when you're displaying on a screen generally 5" in size.

I would get a Gear VR when there's more use for it, but right now, it's just a novelty. I like mobile games, but AAA games on mobile just won't work. Screen size and controls just aren't acceptable for me. For most games I do prefer keyboard/mouse, but most games not offer Xbox one controller capabilities that can switch in game seamlessly. If you're going to project your phone onto your TV and plug it in and get a controller adapter, you might as well be on a PC or console.

Develop some proper control scheme first. PLEASE. And please don't do the "hey you've played 5 rounds now you have to pay/wait because this is how mobile works" bullshit.
