I'm glad I don't play this crappy game. And now I know to never buy anything associated with Facepunch Studios.

People are reacting as though you're being categorised to being either A) a chiseled white Superman or B) a child killing ogre. It's a gender, doesn't affect how you play the game. Also it's first person so unless they've went and given the female character model a trashy manicure you probably won't notice.

I think it's a cool idea, hope they don't go back on it.

I actually think this is a pretty neat twist.

Also, I really want to know what fucking game has THAT much customization, as the random Japanese character creation footage had. That's insane!

i think the way they handled it is pretty dumb, picking able to pick gender and getting assigned random features after that would be fine imo but doing it this way takes away to much choice from the players, even if they didnt have any before.

I remember in a f2p FPS they added the option to play as women who had smaller hurt boxes, moved faster and didn't have to deal with 1HKO crotch shots and people just decided to play females.

I think this feature actually makes me want to play the game more just to see what I'd end up as. The idea of being stuck with a certain gender with a game with no foreseeable way to change it makes me look forward to any other games that try to do this in the future. I tend to choose characters based on what will, in the end, look more like me. Gender need not factor in.

How dare you Facepunch studios! How dare you add a female player model to add more variety to the game for the people that wanted it and didn't have it before. And how dare you not add full character customization so that people could customize a character that they would not see as this is a game with a first-person perspective. How dare these devs make the game they want to make and not cater to every person's wants NEEDS... So insensitive.
