Must be something wrong with my sponsorship. I'm getting an ad at the start of the video.
Hey thanks for the ice pick to the ear at 1:40. Could you do more of those because my wife loves being hit with elbows when I try to dig ear buds out suddenly
nintendo are just fucking legel nazis like games workshop, they are whats wrong with the industry they create a a hostile environment that makes people less wanting to support them. they continuously show their lack of knowledge of what makes a good community relationship, they think product is all that is needed and that anything fanwise is worthless
I love Nintendo's games, but at this point, I'm ready to see the company disappear. They treat their fans worse than any other company I've seen and they pointlessly cling to policies from the past that have no place in today's world (region-locked games, their stance on Let's Plays, their stance on fan works, etc).
How about you make something new or just change it a bit so it would be taken as new like mighty number nine it's new not mega man!
I'm just glad you guys made the extra life 2015 posters when you did. If you made them for this year who know what would've happened.
Is it possible for him to sue them since he had the music legally liscensed?
Nintendo can
i can't imagine how he *wouldn't* be able to. i mean, what did he actually do wrong, right?
Nintendo; Fun friendly, not Fan friendly.
Really sad to see a company that makes incredibly fun games like Splatoon (and even have a Squid Sisters Live Concert) also be the same one that takes such strict actions against fans who just wanna spread some love... And your brand! It's free bloody advertising.
Am I safe to walk around in my Splatoon T-shirt or will I be sued?
Might shelve my Pokemon ones for a while atleast.
Honestly, if I had even the slightest assurance that the people behind Fire Emblem, Splatoon, Kirby, Zelda, Pokemon, etc. would continue elsewhere without a Nintendo platform, I'd happily see the company go.
I'm glad Microsoft and Bungie backed Red vs Blue or none of us would be here now.
While I understand why most companies won't officially approve fan creations and homages, allowing them to exist is a different story. They can even "request" the inclusion of links and/or ads to official media, products and sites and use them as a form of promotion.
It's very sad that projects that had been given official "blessings" are taken down in such agressive and cold ways. The hard truth that comes with the reality of intellectual property is dispite how close you are with things like Pokémon or even the Star Wars extended universe is that they are owned. And it's sad because the value of stuff like this is the since of involvement and community fans derive from them. Feeling like we are partial owners in these experiences are what open our wallets to these companies. But the reality is we are playing on their metaphorical lawn and they can kick us out when they choose to.
Sure, but there's a big difference between protecting your intellectual property rights and being a dick. At this point, the Pokemon company has moved into the "being a dick" side of things.
TPCI can go FUCK themselves. that simple
