PS4 Game Steals Assets

So, stolen ideas, illegally reused assets, complete lack of creativity whatsoever, and a blatant money grab?

Yeah, that actually sounds like business as usual for Sony. Can't see what's newsworthy about it.

Wow. Just wow.

I will say in defense of Sony as well as any other distribution platform, that it's essentially impossible for the QA teams to go through and ensure that every game that is promoted or available on their stores has all unique assets. They haven't played every game to man, and have a photographic memory of every single thing they've seen or heard in said games. The process to ensure that a game maker hasn't used stolen assets would require the distributor going through and inspecting every elment of the game and comparing it to every other element of every other game ever made. Yes, there were some big name titles that this particular game maker stole from, including Skyrim and WoW, but the assets they stole weren't exactly poster images that even a casual player would recognize. The reason all of this became public knowledge so easily is because when you have an army of gamers looking at your trailers or playing your games, then they can do in a matter of moments what an entire QA team can't do in months of research.....

I'm by no means defending the developer who actually made this game. They're scum who would rather steal and make a profit off of it, than take the time to model a few minor things. I am, however, defending Sony in this matter since while people will bash them for promoting a game that had stolen assets, Sony themselves almost certainly had no idea that anything was wrong with the game in that regard, since it's just not viable to analyze every aspect of every game they promote or allow to be sold.....

What amazes me is that they stole so much and it still looks like crap!

Am I the only one who thought that the Orion gameplay was from Borderlands?

...that made me cringe :(
