Next Season
From this, I shouldn't get a PS4 pro. I don't even have a 1080 TV.
Nah not buying it. ill wait till scorpio comes out and see where everything settles then. i already got the 2tb xbox one and my ps4. so im good for games at the moment. itll be interesting to see how the industry reacts to this and the new scorpio in the next two years.
I don't have a Sony or Microsoft console or a 4K TV so looks the Pro is a good fit if I were to buy one of those consoles (I have Wii but also a baby so that's a pretty good fit for now so maybe I'll just save the money; given that Microsoft said it's raising it's prices and Sony will probably do the same given the crash of the pound I'll likely have to pay way over the odds anyway... best bet is to buy it when I go on holiday somewhere where the pound isn't doing so badly and they don't add an extra 20% because the pound and dollar are at parity (damned electronic manufacturers :(
I'm finally getting around to buying PS4 this year now that enough games have come out (or are about to). I have a 1080P TV. I'm tentatively planning on just getting a Slim though. I don't think the mixed bag of subtle enhancements to the platform these games were already intended to be played on is worth it. That, and the fact that suspect the slim will be much more physically sound. The first iteration of a "new" console these days tends to have more long-term problems than the 2nd. (i've had to replace both my first xbox 360 & PS3 just because they broke from doing exactly what they were designed to do: play games. go figure. haven't had any trouble with the later gens of them)
I'd thought about buying one. But I sold my regular PS4, 360, and the games for both. Reusing some things I was able to build a good PC that doesn't struggle a bit with anything. And having to purchase some games again in return for having this is worth it by a long shot.
