If you really liked the dreamcast, read Dreamcast Worlds: A Design History by Zoya Street. It goes through the history of the dreamcast, from hardware development and in depth analysis into three of it's biggest games. It has interviews from developers as well has videogame historians. Fun fact, the decision to cancel the dreamcast and hardware once it failed in Japan, before it released in the US. Frankly I think Sega is beyond saving. At least compared to modern gaming companies. I loved my Sega CD and Dreamcast, but I've moved on haha
P.S. Second fun fact, the internet connectivity of the dreamcast was contracted out to Microsoft, who then later use that experience to well... you know LoL
Man, I like Meg, but she sure is going out of her way to be unlikable today. First she drags up that "Pluto is a planet" crap, and then she disses Firefly. What's next, is she going to vote for Trump or something?
Loved my Dreamcast! Played Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, Soul Calibur and Phantasy Star online. I have mixed feeling about Sega. I liked them when I was younger, but after the whole Sonic mishaps and the nonsense of Phantasy Star Online 2 (fantastic game if you want to deal with OK fan translation programs) I have lost some respect for them. I also don't see them as an evolving company. They are relying on reboots too much, and (too my knowledge) are lacking new creative ideas.
Meg took Ryans Virginity Confermed
Fuck the Dreamcast, just bring back Panzer Dragoon!
How I miss the dreamcast. It was a commercial failure but it was a system ahead of it's time in many ways.
Sega will never release a Dreamcast 2, sorry to break it to you all :P
Why you hatin on Firefly you Ringling Bros bitch?!?
Everyone says how much they miss the Dreamcast. I'm just sat here loving how mine sits ontop of Xbox One plugged in and ready to go.
I was SO pissed when my dad sold my Dreamcast to help fund a damn WII U.... I LOVED that console, but I'll admit it took time. My dad got it for my brother and me when we were pretty young and I remember (being the younger brother) that my older bro had to convince me it wasn't a PlayStation because in my mind it took discs so it was playstation. Everything else took cartridges from my perspective. I was pretty disappointed not to have a playstation. 100% Sonic Adventure 3 times and that solved my disappointment. Crazy Taxi to me was GTA before I was old enough to be allowed to play GTA. Bass Fishing (Fiiiiiiiiish!) was another beloved classic. I could go on and on about how I learned to adore that console so much. Also, I could take the Memory Cards with screens on them and take them to school to play with my Chao babies from Sonic Adventure. #nostalgia
I'd love to see a new Dreamcast.. if it very specifically looks similar to the console in the thumbnail, includes reboots of Dreamcast famous games including Vigilante 8, and includes 3rd party games such as CoD and Assassins Creed(too encourage more sales). If you remove any one of those it's doomed to fail. Too be honest; if I owned Sega, I would put a lot of resources into making this happen because, in all reality, this would be their only chance of surviving. Mention of a new console would boost investor interest by itself. I'm going to reserve a lil hope on the side that this could/should actually happen.

Poor guys but I feel the the same, they will never release new hardware again. :(
