This is why no one takes online petitions and Metacritic seriously. That being said, why review something if you clearly hate it?
I think it's okay to review something you hate, it gives the creator insight on what other's did not like about their work and why. If you mean why did he play through U4 knowing he hated the series, well likely because it's hot right now and his boss told him to. I also have a suspicion that he genuinely enjoys playing the devil's advocate.
I did not think of that. Though I have heard that reviewers like that have multiple people and so try to avoid giving review copies to people with biases like that to make the reviews as objective as possible.
If everybody reviewed only things they liked then critics would just be echo chambers.
Most reviewers are just echo chambers.
I've been watching the AH Full Play and I gotta agree, the plot is a pretty tired cliche. Especially since it has a 100% happy ending that makes Entourage look tragic.
Spooky underlighting is spooky...
Aw come on, don't rob us of delicious Turnwood blooper banter cus of sponsors. I'd rather get it up front!
Meg absolutely disgusts me, I don't understand how she continues to get the spotlight. I have been following her career since the beginning of SourceFed, but there has been a recent change in her character, that, simply, disgusts and appalls me.
"Meg absolutely disgusts me"...."I have been following her career since the beginning of SourceFed"
You do have a choice to NOT follow her. No one is forcing you to watch these videos.
Uncharted 4 was a great game -- my one and only complaint was that Nate didn't punch Sam for all his crap :P (Come onnnn, just ONE punch for good measure)
Well...That and the epilogue. I am of the opinion that epilogues should be left out of most storylines. Whether it is throughout a book series or a TV show or game, a mark of good writing is that you know and understand your character well enough to be able to envision their life after the ending; and sometimes that is the magic of it.
I'm suprise they are not more upset over the 7.8 user score instead.
I don't understand why you would want to remove somebody else's earnest opinion. That's sheer censorship.
I'm not a fan of U4. Does it mean it's a bad game? NO! Does it mean that I'll probably never touch it again? Probably
Looks to me that this reviewer is a fan of giving games that are generally getting very positive reviews, a negative one. Probably due to the fact that they then receive a lot of attention by pissed off fans.
One thing that should be mentioned is that the Washington Post review was in the "Comic Riffs" section, so there's a good chance that the review was satire, and not a "real" review. I don't really think satirical reviews should exist, especially on a large site like Washington Post and not on a satirical site like The Onion, since people use those to decide if they want a game and a "fake" review on a legitimate site can easily mislead people, but it's too late for that for this review. So, I wouldn't take the review seriously, since the writer of it doesn't.

Leaving a score on a review is always dumb.Jjust let the review speak for it self and let the reader figure out if it was good or bad.
