Battlefront 2 DETAILS Confirmed! + Titanfall 2 Not EA's Fault, They Swear

I wouldn't be concerned about the reveal that they're open to delaying Mass Effect Andromeda. EA have a history of pretty firm release dates, resulting in some occasionally questionable games, so showing flexibility here just means they believe in BioWare making a great game. It's better to have a delay if it means adding to or fixing elements of the game. Yes, the wait will be frustrating, but who would honestly prefer a worse game earlier? But the announcement isn't indicative of a delay, honestly I'd take it as reassurance that EA aren't trying to rush BioWare with something that's not ready. It's a) news about the game (albeit small), and b) a way to allay fears about the lack of content pre-N7 day.

EA really are stupid to release 2 competing FPS games at the same time as their out of house rival CoD. The games are all progression based for unlocks and the reality is that no-one is going to sit and split their time over multiple games that aren't in any measure cheap for the full package. The original Titanfall didn't have to split people's attention as it was the bigger title for FPS fans at the time, so it sold a decent amount. That or frankly there are people not buying it as it's still very much unknown vs the other games and you always play the one game your friends are going to be in or the playerbase will be large to justify the cost.

I am still undecided on BF1 or Titanfall 2 as EA has burned me too many times with BF pre-orders and the poor release.

I actually like have a single player campaign.

A cynical person might say they were hedging their bets just to see how much attention they could nab from CoD, period.

On that note: screw EA and screw Dice. I don't have Titanfall 2 (I just don't think I can justify that price tag yet, thank you Canadian conversion), but I gotta say from what I've played of Titanfall 1, I would much rather see Battlefront 2 made by them instead of the bastards that put out that garbage game from last year.

More proof that EA are stupid and barely know what they are doing (and, amongst those making the decisions, are not gamers).

Next Battlefield should be called Battlefield Scorpio

I'll be honest. I feel like EA was pretty stupid about the releasing of Titanfall and Battlefield at the same time. Particularly since while Battlefield got a lot of promotion, Titanfall got next to none as far as I could tell aside from the beta. Also, as everyone else has stated, if EA thinks that the core demographic of fans only like either Battlefield style gameplay or Titanfall style gameplay, then they're idiots. If they think that everyone who wants to play both will have enough money to buy both at the same time, and enough time to play both, thus making buying both sane, then the EA marketing executives have both too much money and too much free time on their hands. Any gamer with any common sense could tell you that it was a dumb move, particularly when you add in the rather lackluster Titafall beta. They should have pushed Titanfall to early spring or late (start of the year) winter of next year. A month or two before the current release date of Mass Effect would have been the best time slot. Far enough off that the casual players of Battlefield will have gotten their fill of it, but not so close to Mass Effect that the players with a limited income will choose to save for it rather than spend money on Titanfall.......

I bought both and am thoroughly enjoying them. I'm broke now, but I'm having lots of fun. Titanfall campaign is actually pretty fun. I just can't go out drinking... for like, three months.
