It will be refreshing to play a new shooter game that doesn't take place in modern day or future era.
I honestly thought the WW1 rumors were total bull. The balls on DICE.
I was the same, though WW1 was to slow for today's gaming, bolt-action rifles and the like, looks like we were wrong and I'm happy about that.
Wait... is Adam taller than Lawrence??? My world view is shattered! My sexual fantasies called into question!
I'm actually pretty excited by this. Haven't bought a battlefield in a while, but I think this'll be the one.
One way to look at it is that it's essentially Infinite Warfare in not-space. There is nothing in this trailer that hasn't seen in Battlefield/front twice with a different coating. I'll make a wild prediction and say that zeppelins will be low-tech titans and horse unpowered motorbikes. Tanks and planes will still be tanks and planes. Different setting, same game. I'll reserve final judgment for when I play the demo, but it isn't looking interesting so far.
On the side note, they should fire the entire marketing department for failing to come up with Battlefield 1916 (or 1914, or 1915, or 1917, or 1918) and instead choosing the most confusing title possible.
On another note as so many COD players seam to want a WWI game the setting alone could draw in a lot of people.
they gotta figure out how to tier the years bc there was a lot of change between them
I hope there's a tank with 6 pedals for 4 directions
Lawrence, you really don't want to be on a horse in WWI, that would be a truly horrible You would be dead in seconds. World War One is where cavalry ended.
on the Arabian front horses played a huge role, mostly bc you couldn't drive or put trenches in sand
good point, but on the on the western front. Of course it good play well in campaign , if you just got killed at the end and the moved to another unit somewhere else which I think would be pretty cool.
I'll likely get both games, all the drama surrounding the COD trailer is pretty annoying, but both games sound fun and extremely different. As far as Battlefield is concerned, I hope they can deliver. I'd hate to see them make the game too gimmicky, and I hope it's more engaging than their previous installments.
As far as trailers are concerned, yes Battlefield's trailer was pretty, but we all know their games never look like that. It was very Battlefield. On the COD note, the Infinite Warfare trailer was very COD stylized. You can't really compare the two. Trailers aside, we'll see how they play when they come out.
I applause Dice and EA for listening to your audience and giving them what they have asked for. Unlike their competitor... This has swung me from a COD fan to a Battlefield fan......for now... Thank You
When they talked about "Superweapons" they specifically were criticizing COD for having them. They were saying that BF will NOT have them and will adhere to the "Rock, paper, scissors" methodology. Just wanted to make sure people know :)
The weird armor is probably some dumb experimental shit one country came up with and used once. There are quite a few examples of that in the first world war

I did like the trailer for Battlefield more than call of duty. It just seems more interesting overall than infinite warfare.
