I was going to name my new game "Sky Candy" but...
Sounds like a great idea. You should make it into a saga
The Sky Candy Saga...has a nice ring to it
Sky Scrolls Candy Saga.
Could actually work as the lawsuit would give you all the free advertising you want, and then you change the name to make them happy after you've settled in the spotlight :P
Geez. Sky needs to calm down. Maybe they need to brexit......
Just to play devil's advocate in regards to the $40 mill settlement, it depends on what grounds the person gave out the info, like perhaps it was shared with the person via DM with the expectation they would keep it private. Still a weird situation though.
Apparently trademarks HAVE to be defended in order to keep the trademark, so companies kind of get into this weird area where if they didn't defend something, even if it's obviously stupid, then if they do come into a case where their trademark is actually being infringed they can't actually defend their trademark in those legitimate situations
So yeah, sometimes the companies may think it's stupid and may not even want to deal with it, but have to because of weird legal bullshit
I cant wait till some one says "OK fine we just wont release it in the UK" I mean if Microsoft had done that how angry would people or most likely companies be at the massive inconvenience you think then Sky would take the hint. Also yay Firefly reference
Meg looks like she's been crying.
It's a pity sky didn't win the case they could have used the money to make their shitty service less shitty or cheaper times are so tough for them. Ballbags.
It's ridiculous that these sorts of legal battles can happen and take up so much time. Any logical person can look at this and go "yeah, that's dumb and a waste of time, fuck off." Unfortunately courts seem to be a place where dumb things can go to waste time.
These lawsuits *Facepalm*
I'd say "I don't want to live on this planet anymore" but they're attacking 'No Man's Sky' my one chance to actually leave it!
Love the Firefly reference, Meg
lol i think 'Candy' has held in the UK bc its not a word we use here? like what americans call candy we call sweets so maybe just the lack of use it gets in the UK means that anything called Candy isn't always immediately associated with sweets/candy
but wtf @ sky if they can afford a 3 yr legal battle they can afford to make their service affordable
Yeah fuck Sky, super expensive, terrible customer support and it's rolling the dice with their shitty internet.
