If only the shots being fired were flu shots...
Her reaction to his final statement: priceless
Until there's a benefit for me buy digital I don't see it happening. Seeing how Best Buy is giving 20% off all new games and 15% off all toys I'm sticking with 1999 model and going to the big box store
Which is completely logical. I prefer digital because it is easier to purchase it and download it over night/while at work. Plus, it does make it easier to switch games on the fly without having to get up to change discs. This purely a preference based discussion.
I love the professionalism in this video!
Top kek!
I love physical media, especially with movies, but since current gen consoles can't just play a game immediately and make you install it, having a disc is inconvenient at this point. Have a digital copy that can never be harmed that you install, or a disc that can get lost, stolen, or damaged that you install? It's pretty obvious. But Amazon's new 20% deal will probably persuade me to get hard copies for new games.
I sometimes go with discs for last-gen games, but most of my favorite games were on sale at one point or another that I could actually get sometimes $4 back for buying it digitally and selling my hard copy.
I agree. I don't get why they need to install if the disk is still needed. Wasn't that one of the least liked features of the PS3 or am I rembering wrong?
Maybe it's an issue with Blu-Rays if PS3s had that too. Didn't think about that. Maybe it's just hard for the console to read such a large disc while you play.
Still, they announced the Xbone saying it would do that, people flipped out, Don Mattrick got fired, and they said it WOULDN'T do that. Yet it still does.
Man... Jenny McCarthy has really let herself go...
Burnie's looking kind of heavy. He start stealing sandwiches again?
Is this a mic problem? I know Burnie doesn't have a lisp.
Why the Valve hate again? Yes, they take 30%, but so does Apple. Android used to take that, but now it's on a sliding scale for certain developers. Not sure about PSN, but I think it's the same. However, until Microsoft revamped all their Xbox Live stuff with the release of the Xbox One, they used to take 30-60%. So, again, why the sneer at Steam?
Am I the only one that wants to know why I'm paying the same amount for a digital download as other people are for physical discs? I mean a percentage of that $60 price tag goes towards mass producing those physical discs does it not? So shouldn't a digital download at least be cheaper by whatever that percentage is that they factored in to the final price?
I wish I had that kind of willpower
A this point you might be surprised how many games there are out there that you don't have to pay for as long as you don't want an overcrowded MP server that keeps dropping you, the best, brightest, shiniest grpahics that has you sell an arm to pay for the graphics card to run for and that thing all those obnoxious twelve year old trolls are playing... wait... remind me why I ever buy popular games again? Oh, I don't...
(Beware the micro-transactions but then if you go open source then you don't need to - cf Naev, OpenTTD, Unknown Horizons, Vega Strike etc.)
Like it was mentioned in the video, they don't want digital sales to drastically undermine their retail partners.
