Ryan's hand slap was impressive
I noticed that too, it was odd yet satisfying
i guess Nintendo is starting to work out this whole online thing, step 1 make service step 2 ban pirates step 3 ???? step 4 profit
Step 3: Scare everyone else into not stealing and actually buying the game millions of dollars (or... yen. Probably billions of yen) have been invested into. Step 4 profit. It's no different from sending people to prison for robbery.
who ever pirated the game is just stupid and the people who think they can sue nintendo basically have no brain at all
The ones who sue are going to get their asses handed to them... piracy (rightly or wrongly) is illegal in many countries and using other people's computer systems without their permission got one poor mentally handicapped UK kid extradited to the US and locked up... so being banned seems like they got away easy and exposing themselves so openly as to go to court is going to go very hard on them indeed (especially if they pirated more than just Sun & Moon!)
Not surprised Nintendo did this. Going this far though I wouldn't guessed it.
Doesn't surprise me, it would surprise me if they went as far as banning that user from everything you can link to the account but Nintendo would be the first company I'd expect to do that.
I mean it sucks for those people but bans are such a common thing now I don't know why you would risk it just to play a week early.
It's not just that - you're stealing and Nintendo is ONLY banning you; if you did that shit in person you'd be in court... should consider themselves lucky.
You are basically stealing from the company that sends cease and desist's to almost every fan game and to some Let's Plays. What else do you expect.
Ryan's receding hairline is distracting.
Serves them right
I prefer this over every other drm bullshit measure, now other companies should do the same and not only for piracy, also for cheating online
Ryan H Resume: Addendum: Can throw BIG-N gang sign
Backwards BIG-N
There is literally no excuse to pirate Sun & Moon at all in any case;
it's a luxury item (you don't need it to live),
it's the same game as it has been for decades,
if you don't have much money buy an older version or download a free copycat game (there are literally thousands),
none of Nintendo's DRM has ever hindered legitimate buyers,
their advertising is legit, always has been - unlike a number of other companies' (ahem, Sony, ahem, EA, ahem, Ubisoft), actually - there's almost no other big companies whose advertising is as legit as Nintendo's!
it had a fracking demo for Pete's sake!
and it sent out early copies for reviews and the like...
If anyone can think of any other ethical reason to pirate then reply and I'll take a crack at why it's not valid in this case...
P.S. "Being a dick" isn't an ethical reason, it's just being a dick.
