Next Season
I'm going to up my previous guess about Infinite Warfare. It's going to be at least 50% of people that'll buy it only for the Modern Warfare part and have maybe 3 hours on Infinite.
I'm not going to comment on how call of duty has been the last 2 years or how its going to be this year cause all that will due is ruin my day
Anyone who wanted those games on last gen already bought them years ago.
So to make the company seem more attractive to investors Activision is rereleasing the hugely successful Modern Warfare trilogy on the consoles that, unless your me and for some reason haven't upgraded, no one uses and already has the game on or doesn't probably doesn't care enough to drop 30 bucks on old games, the exact same as they were no remaster, no add campaign to bolster sales.
Can someone explain why this looks attractive.
My assumption is the old gen has a lot more consoles out there so the market in theory should be bigger. Making the game relatively cheap for the larger market should make for more sales? Similar to how PS2 games were still being made years after the PS3 / Xbox 360, the market was still there.
Just my assumption lol but I'm in the same boat as you! I have not dropped the money on the new generation of console yet, so this does kind of look appealing to me.
COD does fill that market of the pseudo military shooter that not a lot of other games fill, but when the product has basically become the FPS version of Madden where we get the same thing year after year just with a new bloomy skin, it becomes boring. I mean I know COD is like 90% multiplayer but when even that is getting unsatisfying along with a anemic tacked on story mode, then declining sales is to be expected. Maybe they should pull a Battlefield and go back to the past to their roots to revitalize the series. We all hated the onslaught of WWII shooters after the PS2 generation but we really haven't had one set in that era for almost a decade now. What I'm saying is fuck the exo-suits and give me my M1 Garand
