its only multiplayer who cares
Evidently, some people do, cue the issue.
Wait, I thought Linkle was meant to the their female Link?
It was a one off non connonical character in Hyrule warriers.
As Burnie says, "Vote with your wallet."
If you have an issue with there being no women in the game, don't buy it.
When the sales numbers come out, we'll see if it is an actual issue, or just a vocal minority.
In fairness, sale numbers wouldn't indicate the size of the people who want female characters, just the number of those willing to play it without it. We don't really know how many people in total would play the game if it did have female characters so we don't know how many people aren't playing because it doesn't have it. Its like, if 50 million people bought the game, there could be five people who didn't, or five million, or even a 105 million. Without reference for how many didn't buy it, the number of those who did is useless information.
True, but complaining about something and then buying it anyways isn't really standing for what you believe in. If sales were down, and complaints on social media and forums were going on about the lack of customisation, they could probably draw a line. But you're absolutely right. There would be no way to tell what is exactly affecting sales numbers. Which is a shame.
People have been complaining about games and still buying them since at least Left for Dead 2.
I just returned from the YouTube comment section on this video... Most of the comments were viscous and crude. This is so much nicer! I <3 RT
Do people really care about this? You never see the character yourself, there is no dialogue. Let people make their games how they want.
I love Megs Pickle'o shirt.
this is WW1 where there were no women in the war fighting so why the hell does it matter its called history and to make it accurate as its a war simulator they use men, there are plenty of modern war games with women like call of duty you dont even see your characters face anyway in battlefield
Go home Tumblr, you're giving me a headache lol
i think it's more of just them cutting corners probably, i mean they thought it'd make sense for women not to be there and it cuts out having to do all the player animations and rigging for every weapon in the game to all the female models of every faction, which basically means it halved the amount of work for characters they needed to do in the multiplayer.
this is just an assumption of mine, could always be wrong
One of the Dev's for a different game called warframe highlighted how difficult it is to make sure that weapons animate with every character model they do and nearly every day a new issue with the rigging of weapons to characters appears, some have stayed in the game for quite a long time.
is it fair? nah. are the dev's putting forward that women are any lesser than men? no, i don't feel like this is them making a statement about women
"A major part" is an understatement.
There were only women fighting in Russia and even then it was like 0.001% of the soliders
IT'S CURRENT YEAR
Can't believe you pulled that one...
To be fair to them it seemed to be more of a "it's 2016 people are used to a lot of character customization" as opposed to a "it's 2016 we should be able to play as a woman"
