Degenerates deserve losing their money lmao.
Wrong
What king of world do we live in were you can't even trust a guy making a cartoon game about furries fucking!?! Beating season more like it
Whats with all the irrelevant video clips? like why is goat simulator and DOA beach volleyball video being shown when they weren't even mentioned...
Game contains bestiality(goats) and human women(DoA). They can't really show actual gameplay so i assume they just decided that was close enough.
Holy hell, I did NOT expect a game like this to crop up in RT content.
Well, let me be the first to say it: That fucking sucks. Reading their blog post about the whole ordeal, they got royally fucked. Sure, they had some management issues but they, and the supporters, didn't deserve that outcome. Haahh... Sometimes a little paranoia pays off. Make sure those contracts can't come back to fuck you.
why is the lighting so bad? they both look like they are dying.
Weirdly, I may be the mostly knowledgeable person on what went down with Breeding Season outside of the project. So if any one is interested in more info on this game, here it is:
The team basically consisted of H-Bomb (creator, lead-programmer), S-Purple (lead artist), Vanilly (lead animator), Fleet (asset manager), and Subtank (concept artist). Vanilly left the project at the same time S-Purple did. You can find her statement here: http://vanillycheesecake.tumblr.com/post/147388687...
The scope of the project was huge. Most of the female breeder and monster animations were done, but as you can see on the wiki, there were literally hundreds of animations left in the project. At the pace it was going and with the small staff, that number of animations would have been completed in about 12 years.
Breeding Season is was a passion project for H-Bomb - if it took 12 years to finish, it took 12 years. He felt as long as the game added content every month, the Patreon supporters got their value.
S-Purple wanted to deliver a finished project. Breeding Season was a job, and not one he wanted to be attached to forever. He felt having Patreon supporters pay every month ad inifinitum was unfair.
S-Purple took the assets he created to make a game with a more contained scope, as permitted by his contract. Not really a fair move, considering ALL the art assets were his assets, but fully within his rights, as per the contract.
Cloud Meadow is up on Patreon now, if any one is interested. I've seen a bunch of the new stuff already - it looks like it will be good.
to be fare to Kinda Funny if you combine to 2 Patreon accounts they pull in around 43.5K making them the second most successful creators
If the contract says he is entitled to half of the game's revenue after business expenses, then it is pretty click bait-y and not fair to reporting to say in the title that the money was "stolen".
Hey I have an idea for a new rwby game! The girls and some grimm are on a farm...
I find it very funny how incredibly condescending the hosts and script can be towards something like this (i.e. a game with sex as a prominent theme), yet constantly point out that that's what they want from their games consistently. just look at any video in which a dating sim is mentioned, they all clearly and very vocally want the virtual sex in their games but suddenly when it becomes the main focus of a conversation everyone pretends it's gross and that anyone who so much as looks in its direction is sad and pathetic.
I guess this is a microcosm about america's attitude to sex as a whole: they all want it and want to see it all the time forever, but when they get it they act like everyone who wants it is perverted and going to hell.
tl;dr: everyone (including some instances with Rooster Teeth) is always like "where's the sex? we want sex!" and when it's there they're suddenly like "ew no, get that away", "you made this? you're pathetic, get a life", and "i don't like that kind of stuff i'm a respectable human being".
The thing i routinely find with the RT site comments section is their lack of understanding as to what 'Flamebait' is. Flamebait is something that is deliberately said to start an argument, not something that you personally disagree with or something that calls out an aspect of a video or media.
Then again there are always gonna be those who kneejerk downvote comments simply because it brings up something negative about something they like, so i guess i can't expect that to change.
Americans are scared of sex.
You would think a company that started out playing video games for a living, and were most likely mocked (and still are to a degree) by others for not having "real" jobs, being given the stereotype of living in their mother's basement, etc. wouldn't be so condescending towards another group of gamers/developers that focuses on something a little different.

Pokemon Come
I... don't know how I should feel about that kind of Pokemon Go spin-off...
