Indie Dev SCAMMED By Steam Keys - The Know

It sucks that scammers always ruin things for us that buy them legitly.

I know it's not equivalent, but didn't something like this happen to Witcher 3?

This is the video in a nutshell, people are thiefs and assholes.

"scammed by Steam keys" sounds like Steam was scamming them. It would have made more sense to say something like 'keys stolen.'

It is true that he stopped because fraudsters were conning their way into Steam Keys, but the information presented here is so off base:

1. Tynan has been selling Rimworld on his site for at least 2 YEARS before moving to steam.

2. The site purchased version of the game is DRM-Free and does not contain Keys of any kind.

3. The Steam Keys he was giving out were primarily for those customers that had already purchased before the move to Steam.

4. Tynan was not selling Steam Keys. He was giving them to his previous customer base, for the sake of Steam - Non-Steam standardization and customer convenience.
