Sorry, I must be here by accident because I clicked on The Know but was clearly taken to Kotaku instead
Rule of Thirds guys...
Lawrence is wrong, "Survey Says..." is still relevant, Family Feud is an awesome show. Much better with Steve Harvey. Actually you made a really good point about the 3DS still being successful. I was thinking they would release a handheld because the last hardware was a console, but the 3DS is still doing great in terms of sales and software, so I'm a little more on the side that this hardware will be a console and those trademarks are for much later in the future.

Pretty funny X)
I most likely won't be buying Nintendo's next console, but it sure is interesting to try and guess what weird shit they're gonna try next.
900p would be the resolution of each portable part (imagining that each portable piece would act as a controller, meaning 4 players would have 4 portable pieces. This makes sense as the 4K streaming would be covering all 4 controllers’ screens (900p x 2 horizontally is 1600 x 2 which is 3200 pixels, 4K res is 3840.) furthermore the idea of more consoles combining to add more power to the one game makes sense. As was (allegedly) seen with halo 5, split screen couldn’t be achieved with hardware limitations, however, with a console that is also powered by it’s own controllers, the more people playing, the more power provided to the entire system, which sounds F****** genius. It would remove that problem entirely. So basically, my thoughts are that this is a brilliant console, fixing the mistakes of the competing ones by Sony and Microsoft.
Yes, that's the idea, but have you ever done multicore threading? There is a reason more developers preferred the 360 to PS3, because using all the cores of the PS3 was a hassle. This is why Sony made drastic changes to the PS4's hardware to make this functionality much more developer friendly. Essentially this is multicore threading, but over a network. On top of that, you have tons of replication that needs to be occurring and the more consoles added, the more variables, functions, code, etc... that need to be replicated across all of them. While it is a nice theory, I'm not sure about the actual practice or how difficult this system will be for 3rd party developers to utilize. If the architecture is drastically different to all other consoles out there, then this will probably hurt the NX more than help it. Either way, I'm excited for the NX and can't wait to see what it actually is.
