To be fair to 2GD, even if he was an 'ass' it was very unprofessional of GabeN to go ahead and say this to the DOTA community without at least getting it straightened out with him first. no matter how much of an ass he was.

You can be yourself and professional at the same time. Being professional doesn't mean that you can't be funny, just lay off the c**ts and talking s**t about the thing that's paying you. Also the production team had to have really fucked up bad if they had to be replaced in the middle of a tournament

Man, I just can not get into Dota. I can watch Heroes of the Storm videos all day, but there is just nothing about Dota that I can get into.

Also, I can't blame that guy for choking the guy who insulted his mom out. That's a low blow.

Edit: I just read Necr0sia's post. I would have reacted the same way. If someone I don't know comes right at me yelling I'm going to make him stop.

I like that thanks to the leaderboard's demise, DOTA2 gets coverage because of all the goofy stuff going on. Meanwhile, LoL has zero coverage because everything is going smooth over there.

I admit I'm not the most avid when it comes to following the dota 2 majors, I enjoy the game plenty and I'll watch the hell out of the international but the majors are just kinda eh a lot of the time and I know I'm not the only one. its mid patch, there hasn't been any major new strat discoveries so people aren't talking about it as much as the drama. and considering how esports meta's tend to just use the same few heroes as a core in any given patch I'm not too surprised that the major is kinda quiet. I agree with james that I don't want to see esports being discussed like standard sports, but I think there were points where he crossed the line during broadcasting.

Pros: Gets contacted by Ice-Frog himself. Cons: Gets called an "ass" by Gaben himself. RIP 2GD

To me this drama actually sounds like eSports are starting to become more tlike traditional sports. Most other sports have drama like this happening all the time.
